Cry For Peace
If needed we must cry
But not with pain; cry for peace
If needed we must stand up
But not to fight; stand up to stop all the fights.
If needed we must raise our hands
But not to kill; raise them to let no one be killed
If needed we must make allies
But not to attack; make allies to let no one be attacked.
And the need of the time
Is to do this all,
For all of us are sons and daughters
Of our dear lord;
Together, we are a big family
And this place is our home,
We will not let you burn it
And call the doom.
No one can touch our brothers and sisters and friends
Thinking they are alone,
We are here to stand by their side
No one can throw on them a single stone.
You, the leaders, don’t have the right
To decide who should live and who should die
For you have worked little for peace
But ample for hatred, war, greed and futile pride.
Don’t do this, sir,
For you lead the world
There are deaths you have not seen
There are screams you have not heard
The world is not your kingdom
Nor is life your plaything
Wake up from the selfish dream
You have lived in
We want to sleep and wake in peace
We don’t want your conceited speech
For we have learned we are safe
When you are away
So, let us alone to live our way
Think of us as living, not as the puppets of clay
But not with pain; cry for peace
If needed we must stand up
But not to fight; stand up to stop all the fights.
If needed we must raise our hands
But not to kill; raise them to let no one be killed
If needed we must make allies
But not to attack; make allies to let no one be attacked.
